Junior Sail Day Camps are designed for sailors ages 8 - 17. The day will include classroom instruction, safety lessons, sailing basics, and plenty of tiller time on the water. The learning objectives will include being able to name the basic parts of the boat, how a sailboat moves, points of sail, and what to do in an emergency.
A light breakfast and deli lunch will be provided along with drinking water.
Participants must pre-register and pay to reserve your spot. The event is rain or shine and the daily schedule may be altered to reflect the current weather conditions. Refunds are available up to four weeks prior to your scheduled day camp. If your sailor is unable to attend reservations are transferable to another eligible junior sailor.
Please arrive on time, instruction will begin promptly at 8:30. Please leave any valuables behind. BYC is not responsible for any phones at the bottom of the lake. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend and observe for the day. A parent or guardian is required for any sailor under the age of 8. The clubhouse closes promptly at 5:00.
