Week 5 saw 9 boats on the starting line and good winds around 10 knots. Short course was set with winds diminishing. The second race saw winds dropping to almost nothing. On the second half of the downwind finish leg the wind decided to return and filled back in to allow us to get in 5 races total.
Some of the Highlander sailors, who were at BYC for their NAs, joined us on ther race course and showed us some of the skills from the Highlander fleet.
We saw some of the bests starts from the fleet with some of the closest racing we have seen. There were multiple finishes within 2 feet of each other.
It is apparent that the skills in the fleet is growing with us starting our third year of the singlehanded fleet.
After racing the fleet enjoyed some pulled pork sandwiches and beans from the Highlander NAs.
