No boat? No problem. Every year Berlin Yacht Club has several open house “Discover Sailing Days.” These events are free and open to the public. They are designed to introduce people to the sport of sailing, and everyone is invited to attend regardless of previous sailing experience. Participants are taken for a sailboat ride on Berlin Lake with an experienced club member. Our guests can just relax and enjoy the ride, set the spinnaker, or take the tiller and mainsheet and sail the boat.  

 We meet at noon, go sailing for about two hours, and then meet after sailing at the BYC Clubhouse for snacks and beverages which are provided by members of Berlin Yacht Club. Discover Sailing Days will be held on June 23, 2018, July 21, 2018, and August 18, 2018.  Advance registration is encouraged.  Participants should wear comfortable clothes, shoes with a closed toe, and sunscreen.  They should also bring sunglasses, a hat, bottled water, and a life jacket if they have one.  Adults and children ages 8 and up may participate in this event.  For more information or to register for the event, call Ken Miller at (216) 849-7819 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
